# Help with Username Registration

## Username Requirements

Your username must meet the following criteria:

* Length: Between 4 and 32 characters
* Allowed characters: English letters (a-z), numbers (0-9), and underscores (_)
* Cannot consist of numbers only
* Must be unique (not already taken by another user)

## Restrictions

The following types of usernames are not permitted:

### System Reserved Terms

Usernames containing administrative or system-related terms are not allowed, including but not limited to:

* admin, administrator, moderator
* support, helpdesk, webmaster
* system, root, staff
* test, demo, guest

### Inappropriate Content

Usernames may not contain:

* Profanity or offensive language
* Explicit or adult content references
* Discriminatory terms
* Terms related to illegal activities

## Best Practices

When choosing your username:

* Keep it professional and appropriate
* Make it memorable but not personally identifying
* Consider using a combination of letters and numbers
* Avoid using sensitive personal information

## Technical Notes

* Usernames are case-insensitive
* Special characters (other than underscore) are not permitted
* Spaces are not allowed
* Leading or trailing underscores are permitted
