Don’t let your internet history fall into the wrong hands. It’s a good idea to delete your browser history and internet cache on occasion. Here’s how to do it on the desktop and mobile.

  • Clear cache in Google Chrome: Go to Settings > More tools > Clear browsing data. Select “Cached images and files” and choose the time range. Click on “Clear data”.
  • Clear cache in Mozilla Firefox: Go to History > Clear Recent History. Select “Cache” from the list and choose the time range. Click on “Clear Now”.
  • Clear cache in Microsoft Edge: Go to Settings and more > Settings > Privacy and services. Under “Clear browsing data,” select “Choose what to clear.” Select “Cached data and files” and choose the time range. Click on “Clear now”.
  • Clear cache in Safari: Go to Develop > Empty Caches.
  • Clear cache in Opera: Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Clear browsing data. Select “Cached images and files” and choose the time range. Click on “Clear data”

By clearing your browser cache, you can free up storage space and improve the performance of your browser. Keep in mind that clearing your cache will also clear your browsing history, saved passwords, and other data. Make sure to save any important information before clearing your cache.
