  5. How to Back Up and Restore Your iPhone

You can back up your iPhone, then restore all your data, through iTunes, iCloud, Finder, or Google One. Hereโ€™s how.

There are two ways to back up and restore your iPhone: using iCloud or using iTunes.

iCloud Backup:

  • Connect your iPhone to a Wi-Fi network.
  • Go to Settings > iCloud > Backup.
  • Turn on iCloud Backup if it’s not already on.
  • Tap Back Up Now.

To restore your iPhone from an iCloud backup:

  • Turn on your iPhone and follow the on-screen setup instructions until you reach the “Apps & Data” screen.
  • Tap Restore from iCloud Backup.
  • Sign in to iCloud with your Apple ID and password.
  • Choose the backup that you want to restore.

iTunes Backup:

  • Connect your iPhone to your computer using the included USB cable.
  • Open iTunes on your computer.
  • Click on the iPhone icon in iTunes.
  • Click on the Backup button in the Summary tab.
  • Click on the Backup Now button.

To restore your iPhone from an iTunes backup:

  • Connect your iPhone to your computer using the included USB cable.
  • Open iTunes on your computer.
  • Click on the iPhone icon in iTunes.
  • Click on the Restore Backup button in the Summary tab.
  • Select the backup you want to restore from the list of available backups.

Please note that restoring from a backup will overwrite all the data currently on your iPhone with the data from the backup. So, it’s always a good idea to make a backup before restoring your iPhone.
