## About Me

With a background in journalism and photography, Savannah most recently served as the sole business reporter for the Denver Gazette. She previously worked for the Houston Business Journal, a part of the American City Business Journals, covering restaurants and retailers in the Houston area. Prior to that role, she was the community reporter in the northeast Houston area for the Houston Chronicle.

She is skilled in writing for a general audience, converting difficult-to-understand information into digestible content, and bringing a visual appeal to both an online and print platform. While her main focus has been on environmental and women's issues during college, her passions lie in communicating subjects including business, real estate, climate change, sustainability, LGBTQ+ issues, and diversity.

Savannah is an alumnus of Texas A&M University where she earned her B.A. in journalism with minors in communication and environmental geosciences. She has an educational background in marine studies from Texas A&M Galveston prior to changing majors.

During her college career, she worked and held leadership roles at two newspapers and served in the position of president and graphic designer with Feminism 4 Aggies, a student organization focused on the education of intersectional feminism and supports survivors in conjunction with the Sexual Assault Resource Center (SARC). In these leadership roles, she learned how to manage a team of six people or more in various settings working alongside budgets and deadlines.
