## About Me

My name is Samuel Collinson, and I am currently employed with the University of Miami as a Sponsored Program Specialist. My degree is in Accounting and Business Administration. I believe my experience with pre-award and post-award would make me a great candidate for the Research Administration position.

As of June 2022, I have been employed by University of Miami – Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science (RSMAS). Currently, I support and manage over ten Principal Investigators and 40 subcontracts. I assist PI’s through the entire proposal creation, manage awards through their entire life, and assist the PI to ensure submission is done on time. Before starting as a Sponsored Program Specialist, I was an Internal Auditor for the Kentucky Transportation Department. While working as an Auditor, I gained many skills that assist me today such as cross-examining paperwork to ensure that it follows each requirement and explaining the exceptions that are found in a way that is understood by all.
