Professional Development/Family @ Career Break  August 2022 - Present •	Engaged in professional development through a coaching program focused on system design, technical interviews, and networking.
•	Learned Go (Golang) to expand technical skill set.
•	Developed a business plan for a family-owned farm.

Senior Engineer @ OANDA  June 2016 - May 2022 •	Senior Engineer on the team responsible for the execution of all trading transactions.
•	Implemented a price replay procedure for accounts being moved from one cell (i.e. cluster) of the system to another, increasing system capacity from 1 to 3 cells. Received a rating of “exceptional” for my technical skills on this project,
•	Implemented data models and transaction logic for guaranteed stop loss orders, enabling new order types with premium charges. I was a technical leader and mentor on this project.
•	Built REST API endpoints for performance tracking, ensuring millisecond latency targets were met.
•	Mapped instruments to synthetic partitions, resulting in 500+ tradable instruments.
•	Reduced yearly statements generation from 8 months to 2 weeks, through efficient caching mechanisms.
•	Developed asynchronous logging so logs written by QuickFIX could be archived and rotated.
