Position would be responsible for providing overall oversight and management to current collections process on customers employees who have received an overpayment with their wages and have not been able to collect funding back to date.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Based on the Monthly Aging Report, regular collections correspondence to be sent to appropriate customers WSE’s that have been defined as past due as well and with balances greater than $500 that are over 30 days aged while ensuring appropriate compliance guidelines by all Federal, State and Local regulations are followed in collection efforts. Conduct direct communication with customer’s employees that are past due and non-responsive to collection efforts are part of the responsibility of the role.
- Works closely with the Customer Experience team to implement processes and policies that contribute to appropriate collection processes both now and in a future state. Analyze and report on trending that leads to overpayments to target areas of concern to help prevent from occurring and leading to wage recovery efforts.
- Communicates to Finance/Accounting any and all amounts that need to be written off to bad debt.
- Meet defined metrics of collection target revenue and help define and create ongoing strategic collections process for the organization.
- This position will also require some Reconciliation processing during down time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance or-related field or equivalent education and/or related work experience
Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates):
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) and/or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)-Preferred
Experience:
- Peoplesoft/Salesforce/Microsoft Excel and Word
- Salesforce experience-Preferred
- 3+ years of experience in Payroll Tax
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong knowledge and understanding of both state and federal employment laws and taxes
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced constantly evolving business and work environment while managing multiple priorities
- Intermediate to expert level expertise in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Proven experience as a self-starter who can work independently or within a team
- Ability to perform 10 key by touch and type a minimum of 55 WPM
- Demonstrated ability in solving complex mathematical computations
- Ability to apply good problem-solving skills and critical thinking
The salary range for this role is $55,099 to $74,401. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience.
A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
