What you’ll do
As the Director of Sales you would report directly to the COO, Matt Estes. Your team sells a product that combines recurring platform fees with scaling, usage-based revenue. And you are comfortable selling a product with $15k-100k+ ACV in an environment that balances a product-led motion (PQLs, self-serve) with a sales-led motion (inbound and outbound).In this this role, you will:
- Lead a team of Sales Managers and Account Executives to deliver revenue growth through a sustainable and efficient approach
- Lead our Sales Development team to establish a strong inbound and outbound pipeline strategy
- Implement an active, hands-on, sales mentality while owning team targets
- Maintain accountability to sales targets through disciplined operations, pipeline management, and accurate forecasting
- Hire and develop a world-class fully-remote sales team through consistent coaching, skills training, and direct feedback
- Know the customer better than anyone else in the organization so that you can win more business, define market demand, and identify opportunities to expand our addressable market (and product offering)
- Sell a vertical SaaS platform based on business impact – by demonstrating above-the-line value (e.g. generate more revenue) and below-the-line value (e.g. save money & time by consolidating solutions)
Who you are
- 8+ years of experience working in a sales capacity
- 4+ years of experience leading sales teams, preferably in SaaS and B2B2C
- A great startup fit — ready to roll up your sleeves and get it done
- Self-motivated and ready to hit the ground running
- Experience selling through a high velocity motion (sales cycles less than 6 months)
- Experience selling strategic deals with an ACV of $15k – $100k+
- Experience with both traditional SaaS platform pricing and usage-based pricing
- Experience balancing product-led and sales-led GTM strategies
- Excellent written & verbal communicator
- Comfort both giving and receiving feedback in a radically candid fashion
Nice to haves
- Prior success selling video platforms, membership software, and/or OTT video software
- Prior success selling into ‘creators’ – e.g. creators on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok
