What You’ll Be Doing:

The QA Analyst at Evolent will be part of BI teams to help build data-driven analytics apps leveraging the existing EDWBI platform. Most work will be performed using MS SQL server-based tools, so knowledge of MS SQL 2016 is desired. heuristically testing techniques for Databased applications and interconnected sub-systems to reduce risk and increase the confidence of clients.

Collaboration Opportunities:

The QA Analyst will collaborate closely with the Product Owner and SCRUM Master on a day-to-day basis to plan the testing activities within the Sprints. This position will also be working closely with Engineering Managers to define and implement QA/Testing strategies for EDWBI and Data platforms.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • You will be part of the core EDWBI development team testing every code that is required to be released to production. Your QA sign-off will be required as part of release management.
  • You will be championing Change Management processes by applying QA rigor for each development work ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • You will be preparing test plans and test cases for each development work to ensure quality and timely deliverables of the project.
  • Your role would require tactical shrewdness to identify and introduce smart techniques to work closely with developers and find issues early in the development process. Relentlessly improve testing activities and automate as and when the opportunity and return on automation is beneficial.
  • Understand the importance of solving the business problem to accelerate product delivery with approaches like test automation, continuous integration, delivery, and deployment.

Qualifications Required and Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or 2-3 years of experience as a QA analyst in data warehouse development projects with knowledge of DW schema and methodologies. (Required)
  • Expert-level T-SQL experience in writing/maintaining stored procedures and complex queries. (Required).
  • Hands-on experience with Test management and automation tools like Test Rail, Selenium, etc. (Preferred).
  • Experience in Test Driven Development methodology and Agile development. (Required)
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring processes are followed and root cause remediation is planned and executed for each issue, and that actions are fully documented. (Required).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, ability to modify communication style to match the appropriate level of the audience targeted, with a strong understanding of the impact of a message on the organization or customer. (Required)
  • Healthcare industry experience with exposure to healthcare/authorization and claims and related data. (Preferred)
  • Prior experience as SQL/ETL developer will be a plus. (Preferred).

Technical Requirements:

We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.

The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $80,000 – $90,000. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to qualifying employees. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
