Our esteemed pharmaceutical client is actively looking for a Part-time Medical Editor with experience in Medical Communications to join their forward-thinking MedComms team in a remote freelance capacity! Our client’s Editorial team primarily (but not exclusively) reviews branded material for the Medical Communications division. Content can include graphic/print design, digital (including websites, interactive pdfs, and presentations), videos, and medical education material such as slides and presentations. Fact-checking will be a primary duty for this opportunity. This role is a remote, open-ended freelance contract. In order to be considered, candidates must have pharmaceutical / medcomms industry-related experience. An editing test will be given. Compensation Range: $40 – 48 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Copyedit materials for grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Fact check content against source material.
- Prepare jobs for internal review using Veeva Vault MedComms.
- Collaborate with copywriters and other team members as needed.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience level: Experienced
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (eg English, journalism, life sciences).
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience editing and fact-checking pharmaceutical, medical, and/or scientific materials, preferably within an agency environment.
- Previous work on MedComms is a plus as well as experience anchoring/linking in Veeva Vault MedComms.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
