- You can research and understand technical concepts and then explain them in simple terms to non-tech-savvy individuals.
- You’re a self-starter, comfortable creating comprehensive articles with minimal direction, including targeted keywords and blog titles.
- An excellent communicator, you ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
- You have a passion for content marketing and can discuss it endlessly.
- You know how to test the efficacy of your content across various formats.
- You have 3+ years of experience in content writing (not limited to blogs and articles) for product-led/freemium SaaS, ideally in the B2B/SMB space.
Common responsibilities include (but are not limited to)
- You would manage the content strategy and execution of a new product as an Individual contributor.
- Researching, writing, and self-editing 3-5 assigned blog posts/week that are engaging, actionable, error-free, and follow our style guide.
- Creating your own featured images and screenshots for each blog post.
- Ensuring your content is well-optimized for search engine rankings following our established guides.
- Research competitors and ensure any comparisons made in articles are accurate and adequately position Awesome Motive’s benefits above our competitors.
- Craft copy to articulate the benefits of new features on our website.
- Updating pillar articles and existing content regularly.
- Writing guest posts or creating snippets of content related to any Awesome Motive-owned brands when needed.
- Collaborate with customers to produce written case studies.
- Keeping your content’s status on our editorial calendar up-to-date at all times so the rest of your team can see what articles will be published, and when.
- Acting as a peer editor for other colleagues when needed.
- Participating as a valuable contributor to our Growth team, which is responsible for growing our website traffic, email list, and new sales.
- Help our team craft better internal processes and systems by documenting your work and utilizing our project management tools to keep work on track.
Requirements
- Strategic Content Crafting: Proven experience in developing website communication strategies that resonate with target audiences and drive meaningful interactions. This includes expertise in creating engaging landing pages, persuasive banner ads, and effective PPC ad campaigns.
- Email Marketing Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in conceptualizing, implementing, and optimizing impactful email marketing campaigns. Your skill set should extend to crafting compelling content that captivates subscribers and converts leads into customers.
- Creative Content Calendar Management: A track record of successfully formulating and executing comprehensive content calendars. This involves aligning content strategies with business objectives, ensuring consistent messaging, and adapting to market trends.
- Conversion-Focused Copywriting: Strong capabilities in crafting copy that not only attracts attention but also guides users through the conversion journey. This includes expertise in creating persuasive messaging for various channels, including websites, ads, and landing pages.
- Digital Design Proficiency: Comfortable working with digital design tools to create visually appealing elements for website communication, banner ads, and other digital marketing collateral.
- Competitor Analysis: A keen understanding of competitor landscapes, coupled with the ability to position our offerings effectively across diverse digital channels.
- Collaborative Case Study Production: Experience collaborating with customers to produce compelling case studies that showcase the real-world impact of our solutions.
- Content Optimization Expertise: A proactive approach to updating and enhancing existing content to maintain relevance, align with evolving brand messaging and optimize for ongoing success.
- Growth Team Collaboration: A collaborative mindset to actively participate in the efforts of the Growth team, contributing to the growth of website traffic, email lists, and new sales.
- Peer Editing: Willingness and capability to act as a peer editor, providing constructive feedback and support to colleagues.
- Process Improvement: A commitment to helping the team improve internal processes and systems through effective documentation and utilization of project management tools.
- Time Management Skills: You can juggle multiple tasks and projects and prioritize your work effectively to meet all deadlines
- Previous freelance or remote work experience
- Personal Computer with Internet Access
- Availability to participate in audio/video meetings between 9 am-1 pm EST

Location
This is a remote position – our team is spread around the globe! Our home base is in Florida, USA, so company operating hours are 9am – 5pm ET (UTC -5). While full coverage is not a requirement, you must be available during a portion of the day.
