The Virtual Interlining team is responsible for producing new flight inventory by combining two or more tickets from different carriers.  This new inventory creates unique journeys which require a customer to take a self transfer but can save lots of money or time. The Portals team is responsible for delivery of this content in our White Label portal solutions and making sure that airlines and customers are getting the best possible content in a modern scalable interface.  Your team is the public face of the VI teams work and represents an unique opportunity to work on something that has direct customer impact.
You will be helping to design and expand our white label portal solutions, helping us to build a new platform to deploy changes to our customers and customizing our experience to meet the customer needs.

What would your day-to-day look like:

You will be a hands-on contributor helping to design, build and scale our backend distribution architecture.  You will help us deliver a platform for white label sites as well as extending the platform to bring new choices for features for our customers to use.  We will also try to update the system to be extendable, with a major goal of being able to deploy new sites in weeks versus months.

An ideal candidate has:

  • Have worked with customer facing products, with an excellent mindset on delivering quality updates to our product safely and repeatedly.
  • Pragmatic Scala experience or strong development skills in Java.
  • Experience in a FE Javascript based platform such as React or Typescript.
  • Solid problem solving and debugging skills, with the tendency to want to automate around repetitive tasks to make things easier going forward.
  • Experience with extending a core solution to multiple partners, reducing overhead for deployments and upkeep.
