Piper Companies is seeking a Junior Site Reliability Engineer to join a leading global cybersecurity organization. The Junior Site Reliability Engineer will drive customer deployment projects, and process initiatives, and partner with IT on systems and infrastructure processes.
Responsibilities
- Become part of a collaborative engineering team that specializes in Cloud Infrastructure Administration, Site Reliability Engineering, Security Operations, and Vulnerability Management.
- Work with client product teams, engineers, and stakeholders to maintain a secure and resilient cloud-hosted infrastructure in line with SLAs.
- Innovate and implement automated orchestration and configuration management techniques.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automated orchestration codebases.
- Upgrade client environments with CI/CD infrastructure code and provide feedback to development teams.
- Operate across AWS, Azure, and GCP, utilizing their unique native services.
- Configure, tune, and troubleshoot cloud-based tools; manage cost, security, and compliance.
- Monitor and resolve site stability and performance issues.
- Provide 24x7x365 support through client ticketing systems.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in 24x7x365 production operations.
- Fundamental understanding of networking and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Linux and/or Windows Server in a production environment.
- Experience with cloud operations and automation in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code and tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience with IaaS platforms and services; cloud certifications are a plus.
- Experience with ticketing tools like Jira and ServiceNow.
- Experience with environmental analytics tools such as Splunk and Elastic Stack.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- BS or above in Information Technology or equivalent experience
Compensation
- Salary Range: $110,000 – $120,000
