We are seeking a Software Engineer with appreciation for backend technologies to join us on a mission to bring quite recently created product solutions to the next level.
What kind of tech stack do we use?
We use various tools to craft our products. On the backend, you can find Scala, NodeJS, PHP, MySQL, Apache Spark, Snowflake, and also Go, MongoDB, Kinesis. On the frontend, we use Vue.js and Vanilla JS when needed. Everything runs on the AWS/ECS cloud. We also love CI/CD, IaC and do daily deployments to ensure your contributions see the light of day as soon as the tests are green and the QA team is happy.
Your responsibilities:
- Work on various projects using different programming languages with an emphasis on PHP and Scala.
- Design optimized database queries for SnowFlake and MySQL.
- Suggest solutions and technologies for solving specific big data challenges with scalability in mind.
- Produce testable and maintainable code, be data driven.
- Mentors junior employees and interns, performs code-reviews and shares own perspective.
You will thrive in this position if you have:
- At least 2 years of experience in programming and following modern software development processes.
- Experience with at least one back-end technology (e.g. Scala / Java / Golang / Python).
- Some experience with modern web technologies (Javascript / TypeScript, CSS, HTML) and frameworks (VueJS / React / Angular).
- Experience with containerization and container orchestration in a cloud environment.
- Proactive, analytical, a good communicator and a team player.
- Product mindset.
- Dedicated to continuous learning and growing.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- This is a remote position based in Slovenia, and applicants must meet the local legal labor requirements.

- Experience with Scala (while experience with Scala is not required, candidates should be willing to learn and work with it as part of their role).
