The Opportunity:
FastSpring is the world’s leading payment platform for digital product companies like video game publishers. Our gaming segment has been growing at an exponential rate thanks to big name game publishers using FastSpring, expanded brand recognition in gaming, and increasing Direct-to-Consumer monetization in mobile games.
As part of our investment strategy to build on this success, we’re looking to hire a Gaming Business Lead to head up our GTM efforts for the video game industry.
The Position:
As the Gaming Business Lead at FastSpring you will lead efforts across the company to expand our gaming customer base, establish and maintain key partnerships, attend video game conferences, speak at in-person & virtual events, help produce video game focused multimedia thought leadership, and assist our sales team in building trust and providing expertise with larger game publisher prospects and customers.
To be successful at this role, you will need a strong network in the gaming industry and have good working knowledge of video game monetization and go-to-market strategies so you can speak to how FastSpring’s D2C payment platform can deliver value for game publishers.
You will know you are successful in this role when FastSpring meets or exceeds our revenue targets for gaming, you have generated strong brand affinity for FastSpring in the game developer/publisher community, and you have produced meaningful thought leadership that helps FastSpring earn attention & trust.
This role reports into FastSpring’s CMO and is a critical part of FastSpring’s future growth strategy.

- Help produce game monetization thought leadership content for publication on FastSpring’s blog, Youtube, and various other social media channels.
- Speak at virtual events and podcasts hosted by others in the game industry.
- Join calls with large game prospects to help earn trust and establish expertise.
- Help the product team shape our game publisher roadmap.
Great candidates for this role will have:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in game monetization.
- Direct experience establishing and leading partnerships.
- An existing presence and personal brand in the game developer/publisher community.
- An outgoing personality to aid in community engagement and authenticity.
- Experience producing game monetization content.
- An engaging, entertaining, and informative public speaking presence.
- An eye for identifying new opportunities and strategies FastSpring could pursue.
- Ability to self-start, find the right priorities when multiple tasks are due at the same time, and self project management when necessary. Entrepreneurial and resourceful mindset is a must.
- Ability to focus on results while working independently and remotely when given broad direction and desired results.
- Experience using Asana, Jira, or similar productivity platforms.
Bonus Points:
- Huge plus for experience in payments or ecommerce for games.
