As a Revenue Accounting Manager, you have in-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, demonstrated experience in accounting systems, and strong motivation to contribute to the achievement of an efficient close and financial reporting process for the revenue team. You also have in-depth SaaS knowledge and SOX and automation experience. You pay great attention to detail, deliver results under deadlines and perform effectively cross-functionally in a constantly evolving environment. You will possess strong organizational, communication and management skills. You will partner with Revenue Operations, Billing, and FP&A on contract review, control execution and financial analyses to ensure revenue recognition and financial reporting goals are met.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Revenue Accounting.
Responsibility:
- Review contracts and analyze revenue recognition arrangements to ensure accordance with ASC 606 and related US GAAP pronouncements and company policy
- Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place and operating effectively, and ensure maintenance of control documentation for revenue related processes
- Mentor less experienced revenue team members in interpreting and applying accounting guidance and identifying financial insights
- Support month-end and quarter-end close processes
- Identify, review and implement process improvements to the quote-to-cash process to increase operational efficiencies while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the underlying accounting records
- Partner with cross-functional business partners (e.g., Revenue Operations, Order Management, Accounts Receivable, FP&A) to ensure contract compliance, develop policies, automation and process improvements
- Provide audit support for control and substantive testing
- Assist the revenue accounting team with ad hoc technical research, reporting, and projects
- Evaluate and lead revenue testing for company initiatives to determine their revenue and financial system impacts
- Partner with Enterprise Apps and Business Transformation teams to support continued financial system enhancements

What you bring:
Basic
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Active CPA or equivalent (i.e., CPA Qualified and willingness to become active)
- 8+ years of combined experience in public accounting and in a corporate revenue accounting role
- Experience with current revenue recognition guidance for enterprise software and SaaS arrangements (e.g., ASC 606)
Preferred
- Ability to drive team and cross-functional projects independently
- Deal review and operational accounting experience in a SaaS technology business
- Experience performing and leading control activities in the quote-to-cash process (e.g., review and approval documentation, deal checklist)
- Experience with financial systems (e.g., Salesforce, Oracle Fusion ERP, RevPro)
- Strong verbal communication skills and advanced business writing skills
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization and cross-functionally
- High degree of analytical and problem-solving capability to offer business solutions to leadership
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power Automate)
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet required deadlines
- Experience in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment
Wage Transparency:
Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $108,700.00 – $168,675.00 base salary
Illinois and Colorado: $103,100.00 – $141,725.00 base salary
Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $103,100.00 – $149,500.00 base salary
Washington DC: $108,700.00 – $149,500.00 base salary
