The Payroll Program Manager 3 is responsible for timely and accurately paying our employees in accordance with all legal requirements and company policies.
What you will be doing
- Facilitate and lead payroll processing for multiple countries and/or regions to ensure adds, changes, and separations are accurately reflected
- Serve as subject matter expert for payroll; guide and provide resolution to other payroll personnel when issues arise with payroll processing
- Develop and document processes and procedures for payroll processing, including but not limited to expatriates, tax, and compliance
- Provide problem resolution and follow-up to complex payroll inquiries by leaders, employees, terminated employees, and other human resources staff using significant experience and best practice knowledge; assist other payroll personnel with complex issues
- Lead payroll tax compliance, including filing of quarterly and annual payroll tax reports, filing of amended reports, and obtaining necessary registrations, working directly with vendors to provide guidance and information
- Lead in the review and performance evaluation of technologies; including but not limited to new HCM modules, new releases, new integrations, and new systems
- Lead the year-end payroll processes; coordinate payroll and benefit activities within team
- Develop and manage the process for obtaining and tracking the company’s registrations for withholding and unemployment; work directly with vendors and provide guidance and information
- Lead in the creation and preparation of new ad hoc and scheduled reporting
- Mentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to other team members; provide feedback to leadership on abilities of team
- Serve as primary contact for vendors and service providers
What will make you successful
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Advanced payroll certification preferred (CPP, GPM, etc.)
- Advanced skills in using a variety of payroll and HR systems (CloudPay and Workday)
- Significant experience in payroll administration
- Significant experience in payroll tax and compliance
- Microsoft Windows and Office proficient
- Strong oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
- Strong collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with all levels of employees in other areas
