We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Development Operations Manager or Team Lead with a strong technical background in AWS services. This role combines technical leadership with active participation in development and operational tasks. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS services like EKS, Lambda, and API Gateway, along with a deep understanding of security best practices aligned with the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers
- Dedicate approximately 70% of time to hands-on technical tasks
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS-based infrastructure using services like EC2, S3, EKS,, Cloudfront, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and DocumentDB
- Employ infrastructure-as-code tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with AWS security standards
- Manage security, high availability, and disaster recovery for AWS environments
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Github Actions, GitLab CI, or Bitbucket Pipeline
- Automate deployment, scaling, and management of applications
- Collaborate with development teams to enhance processes and operational excellence
- Drive the adoption of DevOps practices across the organization
- Troubleshoot deployment issues and optimize system configurations
- Recommend and implement infrastructure improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional(Required)
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional (Required)
- Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, DocumentDB, MongoDB, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, EKS, and API Gateway
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like CloudFormation or Terraform
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS)
- 5+ years with Linux/Unix systems administration
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash
- Experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of AWS security services and best practices
- 3+ years in a supervisory role within a DevOps environment
- Technical Skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficient with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK stack)
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies

- Ability to balance hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities
- Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
