Remote Payroll Specialist @ Roofstock

Corporate accounting’s mission is to create value to the Company through integrity, leadership and business partnership. Our primary responsibility is to prepare and report the consolidated financial statements to senior management and to enhance the Company in making informative business decisions. This position will work closely with the People Operations and Accounting & Finance teams to improve overall processes and will provide exceptional internal customer service.

About the Role

As the Payroll Specialist, you’ll have the opportunity to grow and support the finance team in a fast-paced startup environment. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this individual will assist with day-to-day payroll activities, including researching and responding to payroll related inquiries. You will also be a key member of the payroll reconciliation, month end close process and support financial audit of the Company. A successful candidate will be comfortable taking on various projects and supporting the team as the company continues to grow.

Compensation

$80,000 – $95,000 range on annual base salary. The compensation range may be adjusted based on experience and location.

Location

This is a fully remote position, but if you’re within 50 miles of Oakland, CA, Atlanta, GA, or New York City, you’ll be expected to work HYBRID, with in-office days on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The base pay for this position represents the expected salary for this position.  Ultimately, in determining your pay it will be based on several factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and other job related factors.  Roofstock is a total compensation company; the base salary is only part of our total compensation package.
