As the Public Sector Account Executive (AE), you are focused on selling Docusign’s Contract Lifecycle Management solution (CLM), owning deals from start to finish. You are a highly motivated self-starter who is responsible for developing and closing new business or expanding our footprint in current customers in an assigned territory. The ideal candidate will be curious by nature, a strategic hunter, and possess strong relationship-building skills.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Regional Vice President, Enterprise.
Responsibility
- Drive success of the company’s Contract Lifecycle Management product goals and objectives through achieving individual sales quotas
- Cultivate relationships with ecosystem partners such as Salesforce and various Global and Regional System Integrators to drive pipeline generation
- Qualify sales opportunities based on Docusign’s sales methodology and metrics, to include customer fit and success criteria
- Identify, cultivate and close on net-new CLM business as well as helping identify upsell and cross sell opportunities within assigned accounts across multiple lines of business, including IT, Procurement and Senior Management
- Leverage internal resources (Senior Executives, Presales, Professional Services, Legal etc.) in Sales Campaigns
- Work effectively with your peers at Docusign’s key partners to deliver joint value propositions
- Forecast sales activity and revenue achievements accurately through proper use of sales tools
Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequentlyand works from a designated remote work location for the majority of thetime.

What you bring
Basic
- 5+ years of direct multi-solution software sales experience in a quota-carrying role selling into Enterprise accounts – includes managing/closing complex sales-cycles with a proven track record meeting or exceeding sales quota
Preferred
- 10+ years SaaS sales experience selling into Public Sector
- Experience selling SaaS/web-based products/services
- Experience selling Contract Lifecycle Management
- Experience managing and closing complex sales cycles
- Demonstrated ability to over-achieve quotas (top 10-20% of company) in past positions
Wage Transparency
Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $48.17/hour – $69.11/hour
Illinois and Colorado: $46.54/hour – $63.96/hour
Washington, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $46.54/hour – $66.24/hour
Washington DC: $48.17/hour – $66.24/hour
This role is also eligible for the following:
- Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
