As a Partner Sales Manager at Timescale🐯, you will play a key role in driving co-sell and partnership-driven sales activities with Cloud Marketplaces and technology and services partners. You’ll build strong relationships, generate sourced referrals, and collaborate on co-sell deal registrations to drive revenue. Your impact will be measured by the success of these partnerships, helping expand Timescale’s reach and influence in the market.
What you will be responsible for in this role:
- Orchestrating all Co-Sell and related Timescale sales engagements with AWS and associated technology and channel partners
- Facilitating account mapping and field-level relationships with select partner sales organizations
- Developing and executing partner sales campaigns and GTM strategies with partners
- Generating partner-sourced and partner-accelerated pipeline and revenue from Co-Sell motions with partners
- Identifying qualified sales opportunities with Timescale Sales/RevOps leadership and deal registering with our partners
- Qualifying inbound sourced opportunities and routing them to appropriate Sales teams
- Ensuring the Timescale Sales team is optimally prepared and ready for each Co-Sell engagement
- Program managing the partner engagement to support the AE’s sales cycle and any follow-on actions to close a Partner-led sales/opportunity
- Orchestrating and executing Partner Enablement to drive pipeline/champions
- Managing our AWS Partner Portal and ACE submissions
- Managing our AWS Co-Sell enablement content (better together story, etc.)
- Collaborating with Timescale sales, marketing, and product teams to align GTM partnership strategies with your partners
You could be a great fit if you have:
- 4+ years of quota-carrying experience in a partner or partner-facing sales role
- 2+ years of experience in co-selling with AWS in partnerships and marketplace transaction capacity (Azure and/or GCP co-sell/alliance experience is a plus)
- Familiarity with the database market and usage-based revenue models
- Intimate, prior knowledge of AWS and how its Marketplace and Co-Sell mechanics operate in Partner GTM
- Prior experience working in a successful high-growth startup (Series A, B, or C)
- A proven ability to collaborate with sales organizations to facilitate account mapping and field-level relationships
- Experience in developing, managing, and deepening relationships with technology and cloud partners, including Exec, Product, Sales, Marketing, and other constituents
- Experience in developing and executing Enablement and Co-Sell campaigns with partners
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, especially with partner sales teams and GTM leadership
- A proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional groups (marketing, ops, legal, finance) to influence, inform, and execute the partnership strategy
- Exceptional program management and operational skills in driving a partnership
- Strong strategy skills in setting the OKRs and strategic GTM of a partnership
- An understanding of MEDDIC
- An understanding of the cloud providers’ business and partnership models
- The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners and internal stakeholders
- A data-driven and analytical mindset, with experience using CRM and other sales tools
- A self-motivated and results-oriented approach, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with the support of global teams
You might not be a great fit if:
- You lack experience in co-selling with AWS, Azure, or GCP and are unfamiliar with marketplace transactions and partner-led GTM motions.
- You struggle with cross-functional collaboration and have difficulty working with sales, marketing, product, and operations teams to drive partnership strategies.
- You prefer a highly structured environment and are not comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-growth startup where adaptability and self-motivation are key.
Our Commitment:
- We will respond to all applicants
- We strive to review all applications fairly, without bias, and shortlist based on relevant skills and experience.
- All active candidates will be informed of what is happening next in the process.
