Remote Senior Accountant @ Exodus

Exodus is looking for a Senior Accountant who is passionate about maintaining high standards of financial accuracy and adhering to public company compliance requirements. Your role will be to execute critical aspects of the accounting function, particularly focusing on ensuring compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards, month-end close processes, and maintaining SOX and GAAP compliance. We are specifically looking for a detail-oriented professional who is excited about contributing to a team that plays a crucial role in the financial reporting and compliance landscape of our rapidly growing cryptocurrency company.

What You Will Do

• Play a key role in understanding, documenting, and monitoring revenue recognition arrangements to ensure accurate and compliant revenue recognition in accordance with Company policy and accounting standards ASC 606.
• Oversee and execute month-end accounting close processes ensuring all accounting and financial reporting deadlines are met with accuracy.
• Maintain thorough documentation and perform account reconciliations and analysis while ensuring compliance with SOX and GAAP standards.
• Continuously assess and refine accounting workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand and integrate financial implications of new contracts and services.
• Actively participate in audit processes, providing necessary documentation and explanations to support financial statements.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Demonstrated experience in month-end accounting close processes.
• Strong working knowledge and experience with revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Experience with international entities, currencies, and elimination accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, especially in areas involving international transactions and currency conversions.
• Advanced in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain strict attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, capable of handling complex discussions with other finance professionals and auditors.

A Plus

• Knowledge of cryptocurrency and the blockchain industry.
• Experience with NetSuite.

Benefits

Health: Most of our health insurance plans are covered 100% for you and covered 50% for your dependents. We’ll also cover dental insurance. If you are outside of the United States, we will reimburse you up to $500 per month for any medical and dental insurance for you and your dependents.
