Position will assist the Office of Admissions in administering, conducting, and evaluating recruitment plans, programs, and enrollment goals by actively participating and facilitating recruitment and programming initiatives targeting prospective students within the southeast region of Texas. Work alongside the other Purdue Regional Reps and campus staff to coordinate efforts and coverage of the region, be involved with the area regional organization, and support campus staff in both occasional on campus programs as well as events being organized by campus and held in the area. The ideal candidate will be an outstanding communicator with the ability to engage and build relationships with prospective students and families, high school counselors and campus partners. Additionally, this position requires the ability to think critically and independently using problem-solving and judgment skills to make educated, professional decisions. This candidate will have a home office and prior experience working remotely. This is a ten-month full-time position with benefits and reports directly to the Associate Director of Admissions-(Regional Southern California). This position is located in southeast Texas (Houston, Austin, or San Antonio) and will require working remotely from a home office and traveling throughout the region and cities mentioned above, most heavily in the Houston area, as well as occasional coverage of nearby states, to be determined seasonally in collaboration with the territory manager and supervisor. What We Are Looking For :
Education and Experience Qualified candidates will need:- Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of experience in college admissions, recruitment, or college counseling, event and travel planning, and presentation experience
- Remote work experience
- Ability to work flexible schedule including some evening and weekend hours
- A valid driver’s license
- Ability to work independently and successfully with limited supervision.
- Ability to think critically and use problem-solving and judgment skills to make educated, professional decisions.
- Strong communicator with the ability to engage with diverse constituent groups of students and families.
- Comfortability speaking to audiences of all sizes, both in-person and virtually.
- Event planning
- History working in higher education and a regional admissions network
- Bilingual
- Passion for working with diverse populations of students including Historically Underrepresented Populations
- Experience using the Slate CRM
