This position is responsible for bringing the brand and unique model to life through social media content and engagement. This position will partner with the social media agency to build and manage the social media content calendar, develop creative briefs, ideate concepts, partner with creative to develop copy and visual assets, and post content across social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and potentially others in the future. This position will represent the voice of GoHealth in social media channels in a way that is timely, authentic, personable and in line with the company’s experience standards.
The Social Media Specialist will be highly collaborative, creative and detail-oriented, possess a true passion for social media, and be curious about performance to generate insights and take action. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, proactive about seeking new opportunities and ideas. This person should love fostering dialogue and engagement from social media, whether from customers, prospects, partners or influencers, seeking conversation-starting trends and ideating how to insert our brand into culturally relevant topics. They will need to balance planning with capitalizing on real-time opportunities. They will work closely with various teams including Paid Media, Creative, PR, Partner Marketing, Operations as well as with our joint venture (JV) partners’ social media teams to amplify our brand and connect with customers through social media.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or equivalent experience
Work Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in social media marketing roles
- 2+ years’ experience working in a strategic social media position in consumer marketing or retail in-house
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Strong understanding of social media landscape including Facebook, Instagram, X, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
- Demonstrated case studies of social media management and success
- Creative writer with storytelling skills and ability to develop online brand identity and voice
- Experience working at or managing an agency
- Experience working with social media marketing platforms such as Sprinklr, Sprout, Hootsuite creative platforms for developing social media assets such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, Canva , etc., as well as strong comfort level working within Facebook Business Manager and social/influencer tools
- Deep understanding of social media channels and paid social media tactics
- Portfolio of self-created social media assets
- Well-organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple projects with tight timelines

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Own, in collaboration with social media agency, all aspects of in-house social campaigns including strategy, creative, implementation, monitoring, analysis, reporting.
- Serve as the day-to-day contact for current and potential vendors and social media agency partners.
- Create, maintain and publish social media calendar for all active brand channels, aligning with social media strategy and objectives, assuring cohesiveness across all customer-facing efforts in partnership with the marketing team.
- Understand and monitor trends and innovations in the social media space, consumer behavior/needs, local news and community characteristics and appropriately apply that knowledge to increase the effectiveness of social media efforts.
- Lead and provide feedback on tailored content creation across all social media platforms to optimize for engagement, impressions, traffic and reach.
- Track and monitor social media KPI’s across full funnel to optimize and influence other channels, including establishing benchmarks for our industry, competition and social media space.
- Partner with social media agency to build reports and present out to marketing team, market leadership and JV partners as needed; optimize social media programs based on performance and insights. This includes establishing and owning the reporting format and cadence.
- Own the processes and tools used for social media management, moderation and growth
- Develop and lead community management strategy and execution including engaging with our posts, JV partner posts and with like-minded accounts
- Partner with Customer Experience and Digital Reputation Specialist to moderate social communities and manage reputation by responding and engaging with customers.
- Use graphic design and video editing platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc., to create visually appealing, social-first multi-media content.
- Lead, in collaboration with PR and Clinical Operations, the social media subject matter expert (SME) program (includes finding SMEs, briefing them on projects, nurturing the relationships, follow up, organizing content, editing videos to create reels and posting this content)
- Main point of contact for all JV social media relationships and management of collaboration effort
- Support PR and agency partners to effectively execute influencer programs and amplify campaign and news coverage through social media channels
- Collaborate with local marketing team to ensure amplification of new center openings and community events, providing photo and video guidelines for content capture, concepting new ways to tell these stories through social media channels
- Work with web team to keep health library updated with information our agency can source to create educational/informational content as well as identifying opportunities for new articles by keeping a pulse on the health and urgent care industry
- Partner with paid media team to ensure cohesive paid social strategy and alignment
- Leveraging social media monitoring platforms, collaborate with PR and agency partner to provide insights and reporting for social crisis situations in accordance with crisis guidelines
- Occasionally travel in market to capture center content
