We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst who is passionate about data and eager to make a significant impact. The Senior Data Analyst plays a crucial role in our analytics team, providing deep insights and strategic recommendations to drive business growth. This position requires a highly analytical individual with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their analytical and reporting needs and provide actionable insights through the resulting work.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support business initiatives and solve business problems.
- Present findings and recommendations to key leaders and other stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts in best practices and advanced analytical techniques.
About you:
- Four-year degree in a technical field (Statistics, Mathematics or a related field) or equivalent experience
- Advanced technical degree a plus
- 3+ years in quantitative data analysis, with strong industry performance
- 5+ years experience preferred
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills, with a curious mindset and strong attention to detail
- Robust data mining and data creation ability
- Ability to support conclusions and recommendations through a clear, understandable story that leverages insight drawn from descriptive statistics, basic inferential statistics, and data visualizations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to speak to both business and technical teams
- Strong understanding of statistical methods and techniques
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency in analytical and data visualization tools including: SQL, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau and/or equivalent technologies
- Advanced SQL experience writing complex queries
- Intermediately accomplished with Python or R
