In this role, youâll collaborate across engineering, product, finance, pricing, and sales to translate business needs into technical outcomes. Youâll drive the development of features that power our billing, pricing, and CRM infrastructure, playing a central role in executing our growth strategy through monetization innovation and operational excellence.
How you will succeed
- Own the future of our monetization platform, setting a multi-year roadmap that evolves our internally built billing system into a scalable, flexible, and modern revenue engine.
- Drive revenue growth by delivering innovative monetization strategies that enable new product launches and unlock new customer segments across both PLG and SLG motions.
- Optimize the customer payment experience, ensuring accuracy and flexibility around pricing, taxation, entitlements, and support for diverse audiences (enterprise, SMB, and field pros).
- Collaborate across product, engineering, finance, and go-to-market teams to design and deliver seamless billing and CRM integrations, guided by API-first principles and operational resilience.
- Partner with Sales and Growth teams to simplify buying flows and reduce friction across quote-to-cash journeys.
- Translate business needs into clear, prioritized roadmaps and PRDs, aligning stakeholders and making thoughtful tradeoffs between speed and scale.
- Deliver high-quality, measurable features with fast iteration cycles, clear ownership, and a focus on long-term sustainability.
- Communicate with clarity and precision, bridging technical and non-technical teams and aligning diverse stakeholders around a shared monetization vision.
- Champion infrastructure modernization, building integrated, secure, and compliant systems that support Hoverâs evolving business model and customer base.
- Stay curious and up-to-speed on AI advancements, exploring how emerging technologies can enhance monetization capabilities, automate workflows, and unlock new value for customers.
What you bring
- 7+ years of relevant professional experience
3+ years as a product manager delivering backend or platform software products, including API-based systems
2+ years in a technical role (e.g., software engineer or technical lead or data engineer)
- Proven experience leading projects in modern cloud-based environments (web and mobile)
- Knowledge of monetization models for B2B and B2C businesses (e.g., usage-based, subscriptions)
- Exposure to data systems or analytics infrastructure powering revenue insights (e.g., Tableau)
- Strong familiarity with:
- Revenue systems (e.g., billing, pricing, CPQ, CRM)
- Process definition and standardization within agile or high-growth startup environments
- Monetization strategies
- Security and compliance best practices in financial applications
- Experience with Stripe, NetSuite, Salesforce, or other enterprise revenue and billing platforms such as Metronome, Orb, M3ter, and othersÂ

Hybrid roles at Hover
Hover has Hubs in San Francisco and New York City, where we expect that all employees living within a 50-mile radius of our offices will come into their local Hover office at least three times a week to build rapport and foster organic connection. At this time, Hover is not considering fully remote roles. This role will be located in our San Francisco Hub.Â
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $145,000 – $206,000 annually. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all applicable US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
