As part of our global growth strategy, we are seeking an experienced International Business Development Manager to spearhead expansion into new and emerging markets, including the Middle East. This role combines strategic planning, sales expertise, and customer engagement, offering a unique opportunity to drive CPOMS’s mission of enhancing safeguarding practices internationally. Main Purpose The Business Development Manager will:

  • Achieve individual sales goals and contribute to departmental objectives.
  • Build relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring excellent customer engagement and service.
  • Represent CPOMS at events to promote brand awareness and secure new business opportunities.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarket Expansion & Strategy Development
  • Conduct thorough research on international markets to identify opportunities, understand customer preferences, and assess competition.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to expand CPOMS’s global footprint and achieve revenue targets.
  • Leverage CPOMS’s UK success to establish credibility with international school networks, focusing on markets with strong potential for safeguarding solutions.
Sales & Customer Engagement
  • Identify, target, and acquire new clients internationally while maintaining relationships with existing customers.
  • Present CPOMS products and services, tailoring presentations to meet the needs of diverse markets.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure mutually beneficial agreements with schools and distributors.
  • Communicate with the SDR team to deliver effective outreach strategies and follow up with clients via calls, emails, and Salesforce notes.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and supply chain, to ensure seamless service delivery and product launches.
  • Upsell CPOMS’s suite of solutions to meet customer needs and maximise revenue.
Event Representation & Networking
  • Attend international education conferences, exhibitions, and trade shows to raise brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Build partnerships with local distributors, government agencies, and EdTech providers to leverage their networks and market knowledge.
  • Collaborate with government departments to align CPOMS solutions with national safeguarding initiatives.
Personal Development & Professionalism
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement through the 15five platform, job description metrics, and individual Performance & Development Reviews (PDR).
  • Maintain professionalism and uphold company values in all customer and team interactions.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute to departmental planning and strategy.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Manage and prioritise tasks effectively to ensure the timely delivery of projects.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties as directed by the Sales Director.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in international business development or sales, preferably in EdTech.
  • Proven track record of achieving ambitious sales targets and driving growth in new markets.
  • Strong understanding of global education systems and safeguarding practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and data analysis tools.
  • Clean driving licence and access to a car.
  • Fluency in English, with additional languages being an advantage.
