About this Role
We’re looking for an Accountant to join our growing Finance team. We have a number of operating entities around the world, each with their own processes, systems, tax laws and reporting requirements. In this role you’ll help across all businesses to ensure we’re moving quickly and getting things done well — this might mean anything from leading month-end closing processes to partnering with external tax firms to reconciling complex invoicing issues to consolidating group-level financial statements. While a CPA designation is always appreciated, it is not required for this role.
What You’ll Do
You’ll own the month-end close process for multiple entities, ensuring we are both quick (<5 days) and accurate with bookings, accruals and reporting
You’ll take the lead on Sales Tax/VAT reporting, analysis, filings and remittances across various US states and EU countries
You’ll support Apurva (our Sr. Manager, Finance) on group-level consolidation & reporting, inter-company transfers & reconciliations, and various ad hoc projects
You’ll lend a hand on A/R, A/P, Payroll and FP&A tasks
You’ll partner with external firms (tax, audit, etc.) to onboard them onto our businesses and ensure they have everything they need to complete their work quickly and effectively
About You
You have experience working in a fast-paced Finance function with a focus on accounting or financial operations.
Ownership Mentality: You don’t wait to be told what to do. You see what needs to be done and take accountability, even for tasks that aren’t officially “yours.â€
Startup Environment: You enjoy the challenge of working in a dynamic environment where things move fast and processes evolve quickly. You are okay with some things being very structured, and others being a little loose.
You are fluent in English and comfortable communicating primarily in English with team members around the world.
