Ecolabâs Rapid Bio-Decontamination Service (RBDS) provides high level disinfection of pharmaceutical and healthcare areas using hydrogen peroxide vapour. Operating globally, our team works with all leading pharmaceutical and personal care companies, and their associated research partners, to enable the production and delivery of medicines, treatments and advanced therapies. In this highly regulated and audited industry our service team must operate with appropriate technical and regulatory knowledge to give the customer confidence in our effectiveness, regulatory compliance and, above all, safety. We must also be able to respond to our customers changing demands and timescales to ensure that the service we provide delivers meaningful value, above and beyond the decontamination itself.
Our UKIE business is seeking a Regional Engineer (UK South) to join the Ecolab RBDS team. You will be responsible for providing our unique RBDS service and managing and mentoring the UK South RBDS team. As well as carrying out Ecolabâs unique RBDS service out in the field, as a senior member of the team you will be responsible for the professional development, mentoring and performance of the UK South RBDS technicians. Building a close working relationship with the RBDS Supervisor, and the other European Regional Engineers will be a key facet of the role.
What you will do:
- Performing bio-decontamination cycles for UK and Global customers; sometimes at short notice.
- Planning executing large bio-decontamination projects.
- Personnel management / responsibility for the performance and development of UK South based technicians.
- Ensuring your team are performing to the required standards and following the correct processes.
- Providing UK, EU and distributor sales teams with technical advice.
- Ensuring team compliance with corporate safety and operational policies.
- Attending on-site customer site surveys as required.
What you will need:
- Excellent organisational skills and a proactive attitude.
- A confident and professional communicator – both verbal and written.
- Good education, ideally to degree level, or with relevant experience.
- 2 years’ experience working in the field, ideally with a team of direct reports.
- Proven technical ability.
- Excellent, demonstratable Microsoft office skills including Excel and Word.
- Working within the highly regulated Lifesciences sector.
- A high level of attention to detail is critical.
- Demonstratable past record of taking ownership and responsibility.

Work hours:
40 hours per week (Mon â Friday) One weekend per month.
This is a remote role primarily involving travel to sites around UK South although due to the nature of our customer base there will be significant travel around the whole UK and overseas.â
