Position Summary
J. J. Keller’s HR Consulting Practice is adding Contract HR Consultants to assist with client work on an as needed basis. As a Contract HR Consultant, you will provide Human Resources consulting services to clients, either in-house, off-site, or through internet technology. This includes: conducting diagnostic assessments, developing and implementing customized solutions, and providing advisory, regulatory, and technical support to clients.
In order to work as a Contract Consultant with J. J. Keller, candidates MUST have their own business, and they must have other clients as J. J. Keller cannot make up 50% or more of their annual net revenue.
Job Responsibilities
- Provides consulting and educational services to clients, either in-house, off-site or through Internet technology.Â
- Develops, documents, and maintains curriculum and materials for general and client-specific applications.Â
- Conducts HR audits and assessments, develops customized reports and safety manuals, and delivers regulatory related training.Â
- Maintains a high level of regulatory expertise. Monitors and assesses regulatory changes, communicates regulatory information to staff and clients.Â
- Proactively develops additional business within client base. Identifies and analyzes customer needs, develops concepts and proposals, schedules activities and closes contracts.Â
- Identifies and develops additional service offerings.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Human Resources related field.
- SPHR certification preferredÂ
Experience:
- 5+ years experience as a human resources practitioner in a consulting and or corporate environment.
- 5+ years of experience and proficiency with state and federal compliance requirements relating to employee benefit programs including 401k/403b plans, HSAs, ACA coverage/reporting, and Tuition Reimbursement programs.
- Complex sales / business development experience desirable.
Other Skills/Qualifications:
- Must be proficient in the use of a PC and MS Office Suite.Â
- Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and presentation.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with associates and client representatives at all levels.
- Ability to work independently or within a team environment.
- Understanding of sales, marketing and business finance concepts/applications.
Physical Requirements
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Occasional travel may be required; travel requirements will vary based on client needs.

Compensation and benefits information for this position is being included in accordance with requirements of the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Note that J. J.
