Job Summary
This role is responsible for procurement, storage, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment within the OrthoVirginia operatories, pain suites and procedure rooms. Accountabilities include managing inventory, overseeing data configuration, sourcing large capital equipment and ensuring compliance with healthcare and any other applicable regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
· Inventory Management – Maintains accurate records of supply transactions and inventory levels. Conducts regular audits to ensure stock availability and minimize waste.
· Procurement – Places orders for medical supplies and capital equipment.
· Collaboration – Works closely with clinical staff to understand their supply needs and preferences.
· Issue Resolution – Address and resolve any issues or disruptions in the supply chain.
· Information Analytics – Analyze usage trends and implement cost-saving measures.
· Contract Efficiency- Manage procurement systems to verify vendor compliance with OrthoVirginia contacted price structures and/or GPO agreements.
· Data Entry- Manage inventory and vendor establishment within existing Material Management systems.
Compliance Responsibilities
· Ensures all supply chain processes comply with healthcare and other appropriate regulations and standards.
Job Requirements
Experience/Education/Certifications
· High school diploma required
· 2 years of experience in supply chain/materials management of inventory preferred.
· Knowledge of purchasing and inventory management concepts, processes and techniques with Workday is preferred
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
· Experience in a medical environment preferred but not required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
· Demonstrated critical, analytical, and innovative thinking skills
· Proficient in data analysis and inventory management software, experience with Workday is preferred
· Comfort and skill with highly detailed work, able to manage competing and complex time demands while maintaining a high degree of quality and accuracy
Physical Demands:
· Must be able to communicate with others to exchange information
· Ability to move objects of up to 20 pounds
