Our Client
A leading U.S.-based life insurance company, backed by decades of trust and a commitment to innovation, is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Java + React) to join their Acquisition Team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in an agile environment, working across backend and frontend systems to build scalable, high-performance applications that support customer acquisition and internal tools.
Job Summary
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you’ll be at the core of developing and enhancing insurance application workflows, customer-facing components, and third-party data integrations. You’ll lead technical initiatives, collaborate cross-functionally, and ensure security and compliance standards are upheld. This is a hands-on role requiring deep experience with Java and React, as well as CI/CD best practices.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain full-stack solutions using Java (Spring Boot) and React.js
Create and enhance automated build and deployment pipelines
Write automated unit tests and participate in code reviews
Translate business requirements into scalable tech solutions
Troubleshoot, document, and optimize existing components
Collaborate with QA, product, and marketing teams
Contribute to Agile ceremonies and sprint planning
Participate in out-of-hours support as needed
Qualifications and Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
6+ years of experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, REST, SOAP, and Microservices
Strong experience with React.js, Redux (or similar), JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
Familiarity with build tools: Babel, Webpack, NPM
Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong database knowledge (SQL, relational DBs)
Familiar with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, Maven
Experience working in Agile teams
Strong communication, problem-solving, and planning skills
Bonus: Experience with Tomcat, Hibernate, JQuery, Jest, Mockito
