The Division of Information Technology Services (ITS) is responsible for the safe, efficient and responsible use of technology throughout the agency. ITS provides solutions that support DODD business.
Job Description
What will you do?
Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality, scalable solutions on the Salesforce platform including custom applications and enhancements to existing systems; develop custom solutions using Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC) following established coding standards and best practices; leverage declarative development tools like Flow to build efficient, maintainable solutions and champion declarative development “clicks-not-code” approach where appropriate; build and maintain custom intuitive user interfaces to deliver an intuitive and effective user experience; integrate Salesforce with external systems and third-party applications using REST/SOAP APIs and platform events.
Technical Analysis & Collaboration: Collaborate effectively within an Agile/Scrum team; participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to meet sprint commitments; translate business requirements from stakeholders into well-architected, technically sound solutions; work closely with Technical Leads and Architects to design robust data models; define system architecture, and ensure solutions align with long-term strategy; conduct analysis of user needs and existing system functions to determine feasibility and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
Quality, Maintenance, & Documentation: Proactively monitor system performance; troubleshoot and de-bug complex issues, and perform root cause analysis to ensure system stability; create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all developed features, integrations, and processes; manage deployments between Sandboxes and Production environments, adhering to change management protocols and re-lease schedules; stay current with the latest Salesforce platform releases, features, and industry best practices; demonstrate new features and functionality to technical teams and business stakeholders.

Qualifications
48 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: designing and performing systems analysis, developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications recommending application solutions and/or testing and correcting programs as it relates to testing and implementation and assisting with documentation including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
-Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems; 30 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: designing and performing systems analysis, developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications recommending application solutions and/or testing and correcting programs as it relates to testing and implementation and assisting with documentation including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems; 24 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: designing and performing systems analysis, developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications recommending application solutions and/or testing and correcting programs as it relates to testing and implementation and assisting with documentation including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
-Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above. Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
- Proven proficiency in custom development using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and SOQL/SOSL.
- Strong experience with declarative tools, particularly Flow.
- Demonstrated experience integrating Salesforce with other systems via REST/SOAP APIs.
- Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture, data models, and security models.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Supplemental Information- Current Department of Developmental Disabilities OCSEA employees shall receive first consideration pursuant to Article 17 of the collective bargaining agreement.
- Hourly wage will be paid at step 1, unless otherwise specified by collective bargaining agreement or rules outlined in the ORC/OAC.
- The final candidate selected for the position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. Rule 5123-2-02, “Background Investigations for Employment,” outlines disqualifying offenses that will preclude an applicant from being employed by the Department of Developmental Disabilities.
