Job Description
Bilingual revision and quality checking of English, medical market-research materials translated into Chinese
Qualifications
- Fluency in English and Chinese:
Native proficiency in Chinese (Simplified and/or Traditional).
Excellent command of written and spoken English is crucial.
Accurately render the ideas of the source text into the target language so that the text reads as though it were written in the target language.
- Medical and Market Research Expertise:
Strong understanding of medical terminology and market research methodologies is essential. Background in medicine is not required but would be an advantage.
- Translation and post-edition Skills:
Proven experience (at least 2 years) in medical and/or market research translation.
- Quality Assurance Skills:
Ability to review and edit translations for accuracy, fluency, and clarity.
- Cultural Sensitivity:
Awareness of cultural differences and the ability to adapt language accordingly.
- Familiarity with Translation Tools:
Experience with CAT tools and possession of a licence ideally, preferably SDL Trados.
- Strong Communication Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively with Project Managers and raise queries when in doubt.
- Time Management and Organizational Skills:
Ability to manage your own schedule and meet deadlines.
