Position Requirements:
As the Talent Attraction Communication Specialist at GE Vernova, you’ll be at the heart of our storytelling efforts, creating engaging written content that supports our recruitment initiatives. This role involves writing and formatting materials for various platforms, ensuring that all content aligns with our brand voice and strategic goals. The Communication Specialist will report to the Content & Communication Manager and work closely with the Content Specialist on the same team. You will be a crucial part of the content creation process, leveraging innovative techniques and tools – including our in-house AI – to create high-quality content across multiple platforms. You’ll also play a key role in managing and maintaining a comprehensive library of written recruitment content that can be used consistently across various campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Compelling Written Content: Produce engaging recruitment materials, including job descriptions, social media posts, ads, email campaigns, blog articles, website copy, and internal communications.
Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with Talent Acquisition leadership and stakeholders to understand recruitment needs, brand messaging, and strategic goals, ensuring alignment with broader content strategies.
Reflect Brand Voice and Values: Ensure all content reflects GE Vernova’s employer brand voice, tone, and values while supporting recruitment goals and strategic initiatives.
Integrate Visual Elements: Leverage integrated written and visual elements to create cohesive, engaging recruitment content that resonates with target audiences.
Engage with AI Tools: Utilize in-house AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance content creation, streamline processes, and improve content effectiveness.
Manage Content Library: Maintain and organize a library of templates, job descriptions, recruitment materials, and brand assets for easy access and consistency across campaigns.
Tailor Content for Platforms: Format and tailor content for various platforms (LinkedIn, job boards, website, internal communications) to ensure maximum impact and engagement.
Monitor and Innovate Content Strategies: Track content performance, gather feedback, and continuously innovate to improve content strategies and adapt to the evolving recruitment landscape.
Social Media Management: Responsible for scheduling and publishing social media posts, monitoring performance, optimizing content in real time, and providing data driven recommendations to improve future campaigns.
Content Gathering & Collaboration: Works closely with employees, HR, and the communications team to gather stories and content from across the business, ensuring authentic and engaging messaging.
Content Ideation: Generates creative content ideas aligned with brand goals and candidate interests, contributing to campaign planning, calendars, and storytelling initiatives.
Align with Marketing Team: Partner with the marketing team to ensure recruitment content aligns with overall brand campaigns and employer value propositions.
Qualifications:
To excel in this position, you should bring significant experience in writing, particularly within recruitment or branding contexts.
Significant Experience: Experience in content creation, communications, or marketing, with a focus on talent acquisition or recruitment preferred, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge or experience in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
Writing and Editing Skills: Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and platforms.
Familiarity with Social Media and Marketing Platforms: Understanding of social media platforms, recruitment marketing strategies, and analytics tools.
Understanding of Employer Branding: Deep understanding of employer branding, candidate experience, and the role of communication in recruitment.
Recruitment Marketing: Experience in recruitment marketing with a strong understanding of audience segmentation, campaign messaging and channel strategy to support employer brand and candidate engagement efforts.
Design Tool Experience: Experience with design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) to integrate visual elements into content.
SEO Knowledge: Knowledge of SEO best practices and their application to recruitment content.
Content Management and AI Tools: Experience with content management systems and AI tools to enhance content creation.
Collaboration Skills: Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Creative Problem-Solving: Creative thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for innovation in communication strategies.
Project Management Abilities: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
