We are looking for a technically skilled and detail-focused Freelance Web Analyst to support our Business Intelligence efforts on a 3-month fixed-term contract. This role will focus on executing web tracking strategies, analysing user behaviour, and helping our team improve the performance of our online platforms.
The ideal candidate will be confident working with modern analytics tools, comfortable collaborating with product and development teams, and capable of identifying meaningful opportunities for optimisation. While the scope of work will be pre-defined, the role offers scope to demonstrate initiative and apply best practices in tracking design and behavioural analysis.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of tracking strategies across web assets.
- Collaborate with product and development teams to ensure tags, scripts, and tracking configurations are properly applied.
- Use web analytics tools to analyse traffic patterns, user flows, and behaviour on key pages.
- Deliver actionable insights through short-form reports and internal documentation.
- Identify and flag potential areas for UX and performance improvement based on web data.
- Partner with the broader BI team to ensure key findings are surfaced and accessible via dashboards or reporting tools.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a Web Analyst or Digital Analyst role.
- Proficiency with tools like Google Analytics, Snowplow, Adobe Analytics, or similar.
- Comfortable writing JavaScript snippets to support tracking customisation and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work with tag management systems (e.g., GTM, Tealium).
- Solid understanding of web traffic metrics, UX behaviour flows, and conversion tracking.
- Proficiency in English for internal communication.
- Prior experience in Affiliate Marketing, iGaming, or similar web-traffic-driven industries.
- Familiarity with A/B testing platforms or CRO methodologies.
- Exposure to BigQuery, SQL, or integrating web analytics into broader data ecosystems.
- Experience aligning web analytics with digital marketing KPIs.
