To complement our rapid growth, we are actively searching for an experienced Network Solutions Architect to assist our sales teams with qualifying and designing connectivity solutions. Five9 is the industry’s leading cloud-based customer contact/engagement centre service provider. We only hire professionals who have a minimum of 5 years’ experience with network design and/or technical sales support. Your relevant experience is paramount to being considered. Candidates should possess a high level of professionalism, technical expertise, and outstanding presentation skills.
The Network Solutions Architect works directly with our sales teams and customers to design secure and reliable network connectivity to Five9’s platform. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience designing SIP, VPN, and MPLS network solutions. Knowledge of routing, VoIP call flows, and Session Border Controllers is critical. Outstanding communication and presentation skills are imperative. Some travel will be required, but most activities can be completed via audio and internet conferencing. This position is part of Five9’s Professional Services organization and reports to the Manager of Connectivity Services.
Responsibilities:
- Presentations (both remote and on-site)
- Provide customer presentations for all connectivity products including MPLS, SIP and VPN
- Tailor presentation to the audience, i.e., from C-level to network engineer
- Listen and gain an understanding of customer objectives – both business and technology objectives Answer technical questions and make recommendations
- Responsible for keeping presentations accurate, relevant, and focused on each individual customer’s needs
- Discovery Discuss customer requirements Explain technical requirements and make recommendations
- Complete Sales Discovery checklist
- Documentation Document High Level network architecture (via Visio/Lucid Chart)
- Review Five9 Requirements and Recommendations and ensure each solution is compliant
- Team Collaboration Participate in coordinated extra-level solutions
- Ensure Operations staff understands design components and customer expectations for each solution
- Make proactive recommendations regarding internal process improvements
Requirements
- Fluent in English both verbal and written.
- VoIP, TCP/IP, Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), DNS.
- Strong understanding of WAN/LAN network technologies including: MPLS, VPN, SIP, RTP .
- Familiarity and knowledge of Wireshark, MTRG, IPSLA, Empirix, HP Openview.
- Awareness and working knowledge of Contact Centre technologies and applications.
- Preference for Salesforce.com experience.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
- Proficiency with MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio and Salesforce.com.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required additional European languages is highly desired.
