About the role
As the Manager of the platform SDK development and integrations team, you will lead a group of engineers responsible for building and maintaining the core SDKs that power our platform integrations across multiple games. This team sits within the central platform organization, partnering closely with game teams to ensure smooth SDK adoption, integration support, and best practices. You will also oversee the development of a demo game that showcases how to effectively implement the SDKs, setting the standard for our game teams.
What you’ll achieve
- Lead and mentor the Unity SDK team, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.
- Drive the development and maintenance of the core Unity C# SDK, ensuring stability, scalability, and ease of integration.
- Partner with game teams to support SDK adoption, resolve integration challenges, and gather feedback for improvements.
- Oversee the creation and upkeep of a demo game that demonstrates best practices for SDK usage and integration.
- Collaborate with other platform teams to align SDK capabilities with broader platform initiatives and service offerings.
- Establish clear development processes, coding standards, and documentation practices for SDK releases.
- Track and prioritize the SDK roadmap, balancing long-term platform goals with immediate integration needs.
- Promote a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing across platform and game teams.
What you’ll need to be successful
- Demonstrated experience leading or managing software engineering teams, with a focus on SDK or platform development.
- Strong technical background in Unity and C#, with the ability to guide design and implementation decisions.
- Proven ability to work closely with game development teams, understanding their workflows and integration challenges.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience defining and driving engineering processes, including versioning, release management, and documentation.
- Ability to balance technical trade-offs, roadmap planning, and stakeholder expectations.
- Experience in game development or building SDKs/tools for game studios strongly preferred.
- Leadership experience in a central platform or shared services team strongly preferred.
