The SharePoint Developer is responsible for configuring, customising, and maintaining SharePoint Online to support collaboration, data management, and digital transformation initiatives across the organisation. This role will also contribute to developing AI-driven search and FAQ tools for improved knowledge management.
- Configure and customise SharePoint Online sites, subsites, lists, libraries, and metadata.
- Develop page layouts, web parts, and workflows to support business processes.
- Set up secure and user-friendly document libraries, team sites, and communication sites.
- Implement and manage user permissions, access levels, and content governance.
- Integrate Power Automate and Power Apps to automate workflows and streamline operations.
- Work with business units (service, sales, operations, finance) to gather requirements and configure solutions.
- Support AI-enabled document retrieval (e.g., Copilot integration for FAQs and product manuals).
- Provide technical support, training, and guidance to SharePoint users.
- Maintain governance standards, ensuring consistent structure and usability.
- Collaborate with IT to align SharePoint development with company-wide digital goals.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- 5 years of proven experience configuring and managing SharePoint Online.
- Strong knowledge of site structure, lists, libraries, and permissions.
- Experience with setting up SharePoint applications.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Power Automate, Power Apps, Teams).
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, or JavaScript for customisation.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail with focus on usability and governance.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Previous experience in a trade, engineering, or industrial services environment advantageous.
