The Opportunity
This position works out of our Spain location in the Nutrition division. Our nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow, to keeping adult bodies strong and active. Millions of people around the world count on our leading brands – including Similac®, PediaSure®, Pedialyte®, Ensure®, Glucerna® and ZonePerfect® – to help get the nutrients they need to live their healthiest life.
As a Brand Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving accelerated growth by increasing HCPs and patient awareness to bring demand for Abbott Nutrition International Division in Spain. You will lead the campaigns, deliver programs on time and plays a major role in enhancing brand funnel demonstrating in-depth understanding of market and drivers to fulfill annual sales plan, with high quality marketing analysis, strategic & creative thinking and execution with excellence to maximize the uptake of ANI portfolio. Additionally:
Understand and adhere to Abbott corporate (not merely local) standards and serve as an example for others
Be the Product Champion within and outside the Organization

Comply with expense reporting practices

What You’ll Do
Developing and implementing marketing plans for new and existing products driving executions with excellence and training the sales force
Responsible to develop, execute and deliver the brand marketing strategy driven by in-depth commercial insights translated into action plans to enable sales and MS goals achievement
Contribute to Brand Strategic Planning (LRP and 3-year Plan strategy cycle), identifying competitive positioning, customer segments and their needs and detailing Brand/commercial strategies with specific timelines, budgets and stakeholder responsibilities
Translate strategy to implementation tactics (including 1-year Tactical Plan development) with optimal management of resource mix, communicate clearly and allocate responsibilities to cross functional team members and in-field team (e.g. product messaging by physician segment) in coordination with BTL
Expand the product market through innovative commercial programs, opinion leader development, physician and patient education
Monitor Key Performance Indicator results and feedback and propose strategic planning/tactics adjustment including inputs for forecasting, tracking and budgeting with flawless execution and continuous follow up
Develop and maintain relationships with key customers including KOLs and identify new opportunities and ways to better meet customer needs
Adapt Global toolkits to suit Spanish requirements and build on it to deliver full 360º campaigns for maximum impact on sales
Assists in the conducting of market research when necessary and helps evaluate market needs
Develop appropriate sales promotion materials for the sales force
Communicate effectively within the organization to ensure Sales Force’s motivation/ alignment and other key people to ensure the achievement of product objectives
Identifies the potential of new products and/or product improvements and adapt PR materials to handle positive brand image
Responsible for the accurate implementation of the Marketing A&P budget in terms of timings and versus Plan on a monthly basis in coordination with the marketing head
Sales Forecasting
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing (MBA is a plus). Relevant experience might be substituted for the degree on a year for year basis. To support our complex product lines, a solid scientific knowledge is required.
English proficiency is required.
6+ years of experience in sales and/or marketing within the industry with proven ability or understanding to execute insight led marketing plans that drive competitive advantage along the path to purchase
Experience in healthcare industry, preferably in a sales capacity
Marketing expertise: Proven track record of driving demand successfully by leading 360º marketing campaigns across all channels with flawless execution
Deep understanding of the healthcare environment and the therapeutic area
Proven expertise managing and motivating internal and external stakeholders
Able & willing to do strategic thinking and tactical marketing work Knowledge of financial processes, customer characteristics and sales knowledge
Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
Skills
Creativity flair and ability to generate new ideas or new ways to reach consumers
Strong communication skills and ability to operate in a complex international environment/matrix structure
Strong analytic skills and be very strong with numbers
Good relationship management skills with ability to build strong cross functional & KOLs partnerships
Commercial awareness: Understanding of product commercialization process including legislation associated
High stress tolerance and making difficult decisions with integrity, initiative and adaptability
Microsoft Tools Proficiency: Excel & PowerPoint is a must
