Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test and maintain Ruby on Rails applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using the API first paradigm to design and implement APIs
- Make sure the application delivers high performance, stability, and scalability
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, testing and troubleshooting.
- Support and mentor team members while encouraging collaboration and continuous learning.
- Implement automated testing frameworks to improve software quality and reliability.
- Proactively identify and fix issues impacting speed, security, or system efficiency
Requirements:
- 5+ years of software development experience (working with Ruby on Rails).
- Strong understanding of relational databases (such as PostgreSQL and MySQL) and experience with database design and optimization.
- Understanding of background job processing systems
- Knowledge of RESTful API design and development.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms.
- Strong experience or solid knowledge with frontend technologies such as TypeScript, React, Next.js
- Advanced English level (B2 or higher).
This is a fully remote position open to candidates across Latin America.
