JOB SUMMARY: This position provides technical design, development and administration in the Middleware IT infrastructure. Also, has responsibility for participating on teams in a matrix organization to develop a comprehensive Application Infrastructure strategy.
 
JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Maintain and enhance cloud environments (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.2. Use scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible to automate provisioning and updates.3. Diagnose and fix cloud-related problems across compute, storage, and networking layers with minimal downtime.4. Work closely with DevOps, developers, and architects to support application deployment and cloud strategy alignment.5. Install, configure, and maintain Kubernetes environments (Rancher Kubernetes, Oracle Kubernetes) to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of containerized applications.6. Use Kubernetes features like Helm, Operators, and custom controllers to automate application deployment, scaling, and lifecycle management.7. Diagnose cluster issues, monitor system health, and implement security best practices including RBAC, secrets management, and network policies.8. Manage WebLogic Server and WebLogic Server domain directory structures, create new domains using Configuration Wizard, and manage domain and server configurations using the Administration Console. 9. Administer WebLogic Services including JDBC (Java Database Connectivity) connection pools and multi-pools, JMS (Java Messaging Services) servers, stores, and destinations, manage users and passwords, and secure connections. 10. Build, deploy, and update web applications, enterprise applications11. Participate in IT Application Architecture meetings and promote/support IT Governance. 12. Serve as experienced contact for the WebLogic Application product line, Oracle Cloud infrastructure, assist in setting enterprise infrastructure design standards and ensure web infrastructure capacity planning13. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.14. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.15. Demonstrate Company’s Core Competencies and values held within.16. Participate in On-Call Production Support rotation.17. JOB SCOPE:The incumbent works independently, makes independent decisions with respect to completing projects and mission critical activities. The incumbent is responsible for support and maintenance of the set architecture and provides input to architectural planning and implementation.
Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training):* Minimum Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field, or HS Diploma and 4 years of related experience* Minimum 5 years progressively responsible experience developing and implementing complex enterprise systems, including use of J2EE technologies and Java Messaging Services (JMS). Experience should also include: o Minimum 2 years architecting enterprise applications on UNIX platforms (Oracle Enterprise Linux)o Minimum 3 years’ experience in designing enterprise J2EE applications with emphasis in distributed object technology with WebLogico Minimum 3 years’ experience using WebLogic 12C, 14Co Expertise with UNIX operating systems, (Oracle Enterprise Linux) and technical support of development/production environments including server tuning, kernel setting, and optimizationo Minimum 3 years monitoring of queues, JVM performance, connection pools, transactions, JMS destinations, EJB’s, and tune settings to improve server and application performance * Required licensures, professional certifications, and/or Board certifications as applicable* Knowledge of WebLogic, WebCenter Portal, OSB and SOA frameworks desirable * Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.* Knowledge of Kubernetes* knowledge of Kafka* knowledge of API Gateway technologies* Knowledge of project management and change management methodologies* Knowledge of ITIL best practices desirable * Knowledge of application design considerations for fault tolerance and high-availability business solutions* Knowledge and expertise with UNIX operating systems (Oracle Enterprise Linux) and technical support of development/production environments including server tuning, kernel setting, and optimization * Troubleshooting, collaboration, communication (written, verbal and listening), presentation, training, and organization skills* Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively using understandable, concise and unambiguous language* Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with senior management and project teams* Ability to use hardware, software, and peripherals related to job responsibilities, including MS Office
 

The salary range for this position is 120k-140k. Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
