Job Summary
The Director of Talent Development is a strategic leader responsible for designing and executing enterprise-wide learning and development strategies that accelerate leadership capability and associate growth. This role drives the creation of scalable, innovative programs that build critical competencies, foster engagement, and enable business transformation. The Director partners with senior leaders to align talent development initiatives with organizational priorities, ensuring measurable impact on performance, retention, and culture.
Key Responsibilities
Talent & Leadership Strategy
- Define and execute a comprehensive leadership talent development strategy aligned with organizational goals, leadership pipeline, and future skill needs.
- Design and deliver leadership programs (e.g. emerging leaders, new managers, senior leadership solutions) using modern, scalable, and inclusive learning methods.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Business Alignment & Partnerships
- Build strong partnerships with business and Talent leaders to identify capability needs and support initiatives, acquisitions, and integrations.
- Provide consultative expertise in strategic views of needs analysis, solution design, and performance improvement.
Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Establish metrics and evaluation frameworks to measure program effectiveness, ROI, and business impact.
- Use data-driven insights to enhance learning solutions and employee experience.
Operational and Team Excellence
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Manage vendor relationships and Leadership Dev budget to optimize resources and deliver cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Organizational Development, HR, Business, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in talent development, leadership development, or organizational effectiveness.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing enterprise-wide leadership and associate development programs.
- Experience in healthcare or managed care is preferred.
- Expertise adult learning principles, leadership development frameworks, and competency modeling.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to link learning strategies to organizational performance.
- Proficiency in digital learning platforms, e-learning design, and emerging technologies.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire teams, manage complex projects, and deliver measurable outcomes.

COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is up to $150,000, plus annual bonus. Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
