As a Solutions Engineer for the Commercial sales segment, you’ll play a key role in enhancing sales efficiency and accelerating the progression of deal cycles to successfully win those deals by delivering technical expertise, industry context, and customer-specific insights. You’ll partner closely with Account Executives to align 1Password’s solutions with customer use cases, often during POCs, which you will manage, ensuring value is clear at every stage of the sales process.
This role demands agility—navigating dynamic sales cycles, uncovering opportunities to position 1Password’s product suite, and engaging deeply with strategic technical stakeholders as a technical advisor to ensure the solutions proposed in deals effectively meet the customers’ technical requirements and use cases. You’ll support opportunity qualification using frameworks like MEDDPICC, helping sales teams understand customers’ use cases, validate technical success criteria, and influence champion engagement. As such, experience with MEDDPICC is a plus.
You’ll also serve as a subject matter expert on our suite of products, becoming deeply knowledgeable about their functionality and technical aspects. With that knowledge, you will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Enablement, Product, Marketing, Customer Experience, and other teams on customer-related initiatives and resources for the Go-to-Market team.
This is a remote opportunity within the UK.
What we’re looking for:
3+ years experience as a Solutions Engineer or in other similar customer-facing activities in a B2B environment.
2+ years experience working in a multi-product SaaS environment.
Bi-Lingual English/German. German Language fluency is essential – additional languages a bonus.
Proficient in collaborating with Account Executives to accelerate deal success.
Skilled at owning and executing PoCs that showcase solution value and ensure successful customer outcomes.
Ability to disseminate and popularize technical information for a general audience.
Agility when it comes to customer conversations and learning new information quickly.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Excitement when it comes to investigating, testing, and exploring solutions for customers.
Strong level of autonomy with the ability to drive projects with limited guidance.
Highly adaptable with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality.
Keen eye for detail and quality.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
Experience working with SaaS tools and in the security industry is an asset.
Maintain a high-level understanding of AI technologies and demonstrate confidence in learning and articulating the company’s evolving AI roadmap to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong familiarity with acronyms like IAM, SCIM, AD, CLI, SSO, and of course SaaS.
Familiarity with modern sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC to support opportunity qualification, technical validation and improve deal velocity in collaboration with Account Executives is preferred.
Additionally, it’s a bonus if you have personal experience with 1Password or another password manager as well as experience with Identity and Access Management tools—while not required, it’ll help you gain confidence quickly in this role.

Serve as the primary technical advisor/resource within 1Password’s Go-to-Market team.
Become a subject matter expert across our suite of products.
Partner closely with Account Executives to accelerate deal success.

Our culture
At 1Password, we prioritize collaboration, clear and transparent communication, receptiveness to feedback, and alignment with our core values: keep it simple, lead with honesty, and put people first.
You’ll be part of a team that challenges the status quo, and is excited to experiment and iterate in search of the best solution. That said, 1Password is not for everyone. Our work is demanding, we strive for excellence, and the pace is fast. We need people who are keen to take on challenging problems, who seek feedback to grow, and who are driven to make an impact. If you’re looking for a place where you can settle into a comfortable routine, this might not be the right fit for you. We’re looking for individuals who are proven experts in their fields, as well as those who are highly adaptable, can thrive in ambiguity and through change, are curious, and above all deliver results.
We are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology—including AI—to achieve our mission. We also understand that thinking critically about AI in its current forms will help us create better solutions for our customers and ourselves with its future forms, which will help us continue to close the gap between security and privacy and achieve our mission. We want team members at all levels to take the approach of actively learning AI best practices, identifying opportunities to apply AI in meaningful ways, and driving innovative solutions in their daily work. Embracing the future of AI isn’t just encouraged at 1Password—it’s an essential part of how we will be successful at 1Password.
Our approach to work
We recognize the power of both in person collaboration and remote work. Some roles are designated as remote-first, with an expectation that individuals work from their homes majority of the time, while others are designated as in-office roles, with an expectation of being on-site on a regular basis. We recognize that certain roles benefit from regular, in-person connection to support collaboration, team cohesion, and customer engagement.
For all roles, occasional travel may be required. This includes things like: department-wide offsites, quarterly department meetings and periodic customer events. These events are typically held in varying locations across Canada, USA and/or EMEA. In leadership roles, you can expect to travel once per month on average.
Note: All go-to market roles will have an in-person onboarding in Toronto.
