The role:
This Product Manager is responsible for transforming our GTM Operations from a primarily human-led support function, into an automation-first, agent-assisted capability that continuously learns from how work is done today and eliminates unnecessary manual effort tomorrow.
As the Product Manager, you will lead the product strategy, vision and delivery roadmap; and you will own the operationalisation and automation of processes across technology enablement and workflows.
Product Management & Delivery
- Responsible for the delivery of the product vision and its success.
- Drive the product discovery for features and initiatives on the roadmap.
- Translate the product vision and roadmap through to delivery, operation and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and adapt the product vision and roadmap as constraints are identified whilst staying true to the product vision.
Automation and Agentic Workflows
- Design and implement agent-assisted workflows using modern automation and AI tooling.
- Define clear guardrails, confidence thresholds, and human-in-the-loop handoff points for automated actions.
- Ensure automation is safe, observable, auditable, and reversible.
- Continuously improve automation accuracy and coverage by feeding outcomes and corrections back into the system.
Collaboration and Team Management
- Collaborate with designers and product leadership team to plan, undertake and input results of testing and performance measurement into future release and roadmap planning.
- Collaborate with our Product Designers to ensure we deliver best-in-class designs, and create appropriate user stories and acceptance tests.
- Collaborate with Developers to ensure the product vision and designed solutions are feasible and viable.
- Partner with Operations and Go-To-Market (GTM) teams, such as Sales and Marketing; to complete requirement gathering and develop solutions for improved operational efficiency.
Measurement and Continuous Improvement
- Define success metrics focused on automation coverage, ticket deflection, reduction in manual effort, and operational reliability.
- Implement feedback loops that ensure automation improves over time rather than stagnates.
- Use data to identify what should be automated next and what must remain human-led.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Concisely explain ideas, issues or project status to key stakeholders and the wider organisation at an appropriate level of business or technical detail.
- Ensure product requirements are gathered accurately and are communicated transparently to the product squad.
- Be able to host, conduct and articulate presentations to the whole organisation, including C-level execs, as well as corporate partners and external customers
Who you are
To thrive at Employment Hero, you’ll need to embody The EH Way – operating with focus, agility, and an obsession with impact. For this role, you’ll also bring:
- Undergraduate degree (Business Systems, IT or Engineering disciplines preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in product management and strategy, with a proven record of successfully launching products.
- 3+ years working experience with software development teams using agile (Scrum preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to operationalise and automate manual processes, not just manage them.
- Systems thinking mindset, able to deconstruct workflows and rebuild them as scalable solutions.
- Comfort with being hands-on and working with automation platforms, APIs, and AI-assisted tools.
- Innovative thinking with a passion for problem-solving and user-centric design.
- Demonstrate ability to drive cross-functional alignment, motivation and coordinate teams.
- Strong analytical skills, with a goal to be data-informed and metrics oriented.
- Self-driven and able to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth, and uncertain situations.
- Able to write well-defined specifications to clearly communicate expected product outcomes.
- Track record of being able to critically analyse data samples (both qualitative and quantitative) and produce sensible insights to fuel product initiatives.
- Able to challenge expectations and question the status quo on a day-to-day basis.
- Hungry, creative, enthusiastic, and data-driven with a diverse skill set .
- Experience validating ideas and generating user feedback through different customer research methodologies.
- Proven commercial acumen with the ability to build financial models and execute on business drivers.
