The Messaging Admin UI team at Genesys is driving major transformation in both Messaging and Email, delivering better outcomes, enhanced customer experiences, and reduced operational costs. We are seeking a talented Software Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing front-end team in building products and services that deliver measurable value for Genesys customers.
As a senior member of the Messaging Admin UI team, you will:
Lead a team of developers building AI-powered conversational solutions. Contribute to the architecture and code base of the Digital Platform. Work on tools, infrastructure, and scalability challenges at the intersection of UX and software engineering. You will join a collaborative, agile team delivering features across front-end applications. Our engineers focus on scale, security, and usability, coding primarily in Typescript, JavaScript, while leveraging technologies such as ReactJS, Web-components, Playwright, Jenkins, and Git. This role is ideal for a hands-on development manager or a senior technical leader looking to move into Engineering Management.
Key Responsibilities:
People Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of front-end engineers.
Conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning.
Support hiring and team growth.
Foster a high-performance, accountable engineering culture.
Delivery & Execution:
Deliver roadmap-aligned features with predictable execution.
Ensure adherence to SDLC and engineering best practices.
Maintain high standards through design reviews and PR oversight.
Partner with Product and UX in a 3-in-a-box model.
Technical & Service Ownership:
Guide front-end architecture (TypeScript, ReactJS).
Contribute to design and architectural decisions.
Drive quality, scalability, resiliency, and performance.
Champion CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices (Jenkins, Git, Playwright).
Minimum Requirements:
Proven track record in a team lead or development manager role, with experience in people management, performance reviews, mentoring, and career development.
Ability to foster a high-performing engineering culture and support individual growth within the team.
Hands-on experience as a software developer, ideally in Typescript, with additional knowledge of ReactJS or JavaScript considered a plus.
Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, design patterns, and best practices.
Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git), and automated testing.
Demonstrated experience working in an Agile environment, collaborating cross-functionally with Product Management, QA, and UX teams.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to represent Engineering in cross-functional forums
Desirable Skills:
Experience with UI Frameworks, Web-components, testing Frameworks and Accessibility.
Experience scaling engineering teams or leading through growth.
