Job Description
🎯 Your Mission
As a Privacy & Data protection Legal Counsel, you will join a legal team of three people, as part of a broader effort to strengthen and scale the Legal department in line with the Group’s growth.
You will play a key role in supporting the Group’s growth by securing its legal framework and advising teams across the business.
The role will primarily focus on GDPR compliance and data protection matters, with a strong emphasis on B2C activities, while also covering B2B relationships. You will work in close collaboration with the Legal Director&DPO on all privacy-related topics.
In addition, you will contribute to a broader range of business law matters, including commercial law and contract negotiation.
Reporting to the Legal Director&DPO and working closely with the Legal and operational teams (IT, Product, Data, Purchasing, Sales, Customer Relations, HR …), you will act as a trusted legal partner, helping teams move fast while managing and anticipating legal risks.
Your scope will cover France and our 8 international markets.
⚡ Your Key Responsibilities
Privacy & Data Protection (main focus):
- Work closely with the Legal Director&DPO on all privacy and data protection matters
- Advise internal stakeholders on GDPR and data protection regulations, with a focus on digital and e-commerce activities
- Ensure ongoing compliance in both B2C and B2B environments, particularly regarding customer data
- Draft, review, and update privacy policies, data processing agreements, and internal procedures
- Liaise with relevant authorities when required
- Monitor regulatory developments and provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal guidance
Business Law & Commercial Support:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts (partners, suppliers, service providers, etc.)
- Provide legal support on commercial matters
- Advise on legal risks and compliance issues in a digital business environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, tech, marketing, procurement, etc.
Qualifications
💡 What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a pragmatic, business-oriented legal professional secialized in Privacy / IT Law who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment and enjoys working closely with operational teams.
Your profile:
• Master’s degree (LL.M. or equivalent) in privacy / IT law or in Business Law with significant experience in privacy & data protection law
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
• Strong expertise in privacy & data protection law and in Business Law
• Comfortable working in both French and English, written and spoken
• Able to handle diverse legal topics with rigor, autonomy, and adaptability
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills, combined with excellent drafting abilities
• Pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset with a genuine business partner approach
• Organized, reliable, and comfortable operating in a high-growth, international context
