MANTECH seeks a strategic and process-oriented SUBCONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR to join our team in STAFFORD, VA. This position is a REMOTE position; however, candidate will be required to travel occasionally to STAFFORD, VAfor meetings.
In this high-impact, program-centric role, you will act as a bridge between program leadership and the subcontracts department, focusing on optimizing the front-end acquisition process. Your mission is to drive operational efficiency by identifying innovative tools, establishing consistent procurement processes, and evaluating team performance to ensure peak alignment with mission requirements. While this direct-bill role involves high-visibility client interaction and cross-functional orchestration, it does not carry corporate procurement signature authority.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Evaluate current subcontracts workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement strategic process improvements that enhance overall procurement efficiency.
Translate program-level mission needs into actionable technical specifications and precise Statements of Work (SOW) to optimize acquisition timelines.
Conduct performance evaluations of procurement activities and team integration to ensure vendor deliverables align strictly with program milestones.
Act as a high-visibility operational bridge between government customers, senior management, and external partners to troubleshoot schedule slips.
Develop and standardize consistent documentation processes to be used across the program to improve transparency and audit readiness.
Facilitate regular Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and provide strategic briefings on resource health and supply chain risk mitigation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years’ experience in subcontract administration.
Possess a proven track record of improving operational efficiency within a federal program or procurement environment.
Demonstrate deep fluency in FAR/DFARS regulations and their application to large-scale program management.
Show significant experience in drafting technical acquisition documents and complex Statements of Work (SOW).
Exhibit a strong ability to evaluate team processes and implement standardized workflows across cross-functional departments.
Maintain a professional capacity to identify and integrate new technical tools to enhance program-centric procurement.
Communicate effectively in a high-visibility, client-facing capacity with senior government leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates that live within commute distance to Stafford, VA.
Experience in strategic process mapping or business process re-engineering for Sourcing and Logistics.
Background in assessing team performance and resource allocation within a government contracting framework.
Professional certification such as a PMP or specialized federal acquisition credential.
Expertise in utilizing advanced data analytics or supply chain management software to drive decision-making.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able and willing to perform occasional manual labor and warehouse duties, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
The projected compensation range for this position is $99,200.00-$164,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
