UK Estimated Annual Mileage (if applicable) N/A Job Description How you’ll make an impact This is a high-impact analytics role that is responsible for driving business and product insight and allowing HSO to measure, understand, and deliver value to its clients. As the Manager, Data Analytics, Business & Product Insights, you will act as the primary owner of analytics delivery, ensuring that insight work is focused on the highest-value questions facing Product, Commercial, and Customer teams. You will combine strong hands-on analytical capability with sound commercial judgement, and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-moving environment to deliver value. The role covers complex meaningful problems on the customer, commercial, product performance, experimentation, and ROI-driven insights. You will manage one analyst initially, with scope for the role and team to grow as impact and organisational priorities evolve. This role reports to the Head of Data & AI and works in close partnership with Data Engineering, Product, Engineering, and Commercial leadership. What you’ll do • Act as the single point of contact for analytics requests across Product, Commercial, Customer, and Revenue teams. • Shape, prioritise, and sequence analytics work based on business value, strategic importance, and available capacity. • Balance short-term operational needs with longer-term, scalable insight, explicitly focusing on greatest impact and escalate prioritisation conflicts where required, with the Head of Data & AI. • Generate actionable, data-led insights into product performance and customer behaviour, linking feature usage to retention, growth, recall effectiveness, and commercial outcomes, and clearly communicate product value to support strategic decision-making and legacy platform migration. • Help shape and evolve experimentation and causal analysis practices in partnership with Product and Engineering and the Head of Data and AI. • Support well-designed experiments through strong hypothesis framing, metric selection, and post-test deep dive analysis, and applying advanced analytical techniques (e.g. causal analysis, forecasting, segmentation) to extract insight, drive learning, and de-risk product and commercial decisions • Ensure continuity of critical customer and commercial analytics • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, or self-serve legacy reporting and insights over time. • Reduce reliance on manual or low-value analytics activities, refocusing effort on scalable, and high impact insight. • Remain strongly hands-on in analytics, particularly in the early stages of the role., where you will code in SQL and/or Python to create analytical models. • Design and deliver advanced analyses, including churn and risk modelling, forecasting, and performance deep dives. • Review and quality-assure analytical outputs to ensure accuracy, clarity, and relevance. • Lead and develop a high-performing team, motivating and inspiring your team to reach and exceed all set targets and KPIs • Coach team members in best practices, fostering a culture of continuous development • Ensure all team members have clear, up-to-date Individual Development Plans (IDPs), and receive regular performance reviews and meaningful 1:1 conversations to support growth, engagement, and accountability • Maintain a trusting, collaborative environment, enabling the team to thrive • Lead the recruitment efforts for your team, identifying and hiring top talent • Promote an inclusive and diverse culture, in line with the Henry Schein One values What you’ll bring with you • Proven experience as a Data Analytics Manager operating with significant ownership and autonomy. • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-impact insights across product, commercial, and customer domains. Experienced in prioritising and delivering analytics work in fast-paced, evolving environments. • Exposure to healthcare or regulated environments is desirable but not essential. • Advanced SQL skills, with the ability to work confidently across large, complex datasets. • Strong analytical modelling skills, including forecasting, client segmentation, and risk or churn analysis. • Experience working with modern analytics engineering concepts, including dbt or similar tooling. • Familiarity with experimentation, causal analysis, and evaluation of product and commercial initiatives. • Comfortable working in cloud-based analytics environments; familiarity with AWS analytics or ML services is a plus but not essential. • Strong commercial judgement, with a clear focus on ROI and value creation. • Excellent communication and influencing skills, who can translate complex analysis into clear, compelling insights that inform business decisions. • Willing to challenge the status quo and focus effort on what delivers the greatest impact.
