Everforth ECS is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer to join our team. The candidate will be supporting the software development and system engineering teams with the testing of developed software in the AWS Cloud including but not limited to writing test procedures, executing test procedures, collecting test artifacts and supporting both pre- and post- testing preparation and reviews.
The ideal resource will have experience with the following; coding languages such as Perl, Java, PowerShell, PHP, Ruby, and/or Python, cloud services, containerization technologies, to include building Docker Container Images, and scripting languages, open standard data interchange formats, job scheduling and management software tools (ECR, EKS, YAML, Python, JSON, OpenPBS).

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Implements and designs server, network, and software configurations for a cloud computing infrastructure and applications with a focus on DevOps principles.
- Monitors and tests the performance of systems. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of cloud technology, including Software as Service (SaaS), Platform as Service (PaaS), or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
- Work directly with multiple teams and business units to understand business needs and translate those to IT/business capabilities.
- Participate as part of UAT and development process (as needed).
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary Range: $100,000 – $130,000

Qualifications- BS/BA in Computer Science, a Technical Field, or other related disciplines OR 4+ years of experience supporting an AWS.
- Must be able to secure a Public Trust clearance.
- 4-6 years’ experience administrating cloud computing, storage, and infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Experience using coding languages such as Perl, Java, PowerShell, PHP, Ruby, Python, etc.
- Hands-on experience using cloud services, containerization technologies, to include building Docker Container Images, scripting languages, open standard data interchange formats, job scheduling and management software tools (ECR, EKS, YAML, Python, JSON, OpenPBS).
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, code-defined infrastructure, configuration management tools, and CI/CD.
- Experience with AWS Lambda and “Serverless” systems.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise IT environments.
- Strong verbal and communications skills, working with senior leadership and across organizational teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (ability to explain technical issues in layman’s terms).
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
